Who can rent a boat from Offshore Luzern GmbH?
Anyone who holds a valid boating license (Category A) can rent the boat. If the boat cannot be driven by the renter, there is the option to use the captain service.
How can I reserve a boat?
The boat can be easily reserved through our website booking tool. After a quick review, you will receive a confirmation from us.
What is the cost of renting the boat?
On our website under Prices you can find our various offers and the pricing.
What is included in the rental price?
When can the boat be picked up / returned?
If the boat is booked for a full day (8 hours), it can be picked up no earlier than 9:00 AM and must be returned no later than 7:00 PM. For multi-day bookings and special requests, the times can be arranged individually.
How is the payment made?
Payment is easily made in advance via TWINT or bank transfer.
What happens if the weather is bad on the reserved day?
In case of unfavorable weather conditions such as storms, rain, or severe weather, it is possible to reschedule for a new date free of charge after consultation with Offshore Luzern and mutual agreement.
How many people can the boat accommodate?
Our boat is approved for 8 people. However, it can get a bit cramped with 8 people, so we recommend a maximum of 6 people for a more comfortable experience.
Are children allowed on the boat?
Children are always welcome. The parents or guardians are responsible for their children.
Are pets allowed on the boat?
No, pets are not allowed on the boat.
Can I make special requests?
If you have special requests, we strive to accommodate them. Please simply share your ideas with us via WhatsApp or email, and we are confident that we can find a solution.
What do I need to bring?
The boat license, your reservation confirmation, and a deposit of CHF 500 in cash or alternatively via TWINT on-site. The deposit will be refunded after the boat is returned, provided there are no damages or violations.
The briefing usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

What are the features of the boat?
Our Wellcraft Scarab Excel 28 is an offshore boat, making it very fast, with a top speed of around 90km/h. With its 365 HP and specially shaped bow, it effortlessly cuts through the waves like a knife through butter. The sound of the Mercruiser 454 V8 is a true pleasure for the ears, always bringing a smile to the faces of passengers. With this boat, you’re guaranteed to attract the attention of other boaters.
What happens if I need help on the water?
If you need help with the boat, you can contact us directly. You will receive a direct phone number from us at the time of boat handover, where we are available throughout the entire rental period.

What should I do if I have damage or an accident?
You must inform us immediately if you have damage or an accident. You must also notify the Coast Guard if it is a serious incident. The primary renter is liable for any damage caused by negligence, misuse, or violation of the rental terms.
