Do I need a boating licence?
No. Every boat tour on Lake Lucerne comes with our experienced captain. No boating experience is needed — simply step aboard and enjoy.
Can I hire the boat without a captain?
No — at Offshore Luzern, an experienced captain is always on board for your safety and a relaxed experience. Fuel is always included, and no security deposit is required.
Can I take the helm myself?
Yes! Under our captain’s supervision, any guest aged 14 or over can take the helm and steer the Wellcraft Scarab on Lake Lucerne — no boating licence required.
How many guests can come on board?
We recommend up to 6 guests for maximum comfort aboard the Wellcraft Scarab 28.
Are children and pets allowed?
Children are very welcome — life jackets are available on board. Pets are not allowed.
What happens in bad weather?
Safety comes first: if the weather is unsuitable, we will reschedule your tour to a preferred date at no extra charge.
How can I pay?
Pay in advance by TWINT or bank transfer — you will receive all the details by email after booking online.
Where is the meeting point?
At Rütenen marina in 6375 Beckenried — parking is available on site, just 20 minutes from Lucerne.
How long does a tour last?
Each tour lasts 4 hours: Morning Tour 09:00–13:00 or Sunset Tour 15:00–19:00. The season runs from May to October.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen, swimwear, a towel and a good mood — you are welcome to bring drinks. We will take care of everything else.
